Ferrosan Medical Devices develops and produces a portfolio of medical devices used in surgical care. Their portfolio consists of various hemostatic products to minimize bleeding challenges in surgery and electromechanical medical devices to perform breast biopsies. This is an international medical device organisation with products registered in more than 100 countries.

Your daily workplace will be at the headquarter in Søborg, Denmark. The company employs 250 professionals in Denmark and 100 in Szczecin, Poland.

Influence and responsibility as Automation Engineer
Ferrosan Medical Devices is currently investing many resources in their headquarter site in Søborg. So far this has resulted in building a state-of-the-art new factory and updating the utilities, so that daily operations continue to be both energy-efficient and compliant with regulations. Furthermore, the ambition for the Automation area is to become even more robust and thereby more process-oriented through updated system descriptions and renewed processes.

As a result of the investments and renewed ambitions, Ferrosan Medical Devices is now looking to strengthen their department for Technical Support & Utilities by hiring an Automation Engineer, who can help take responsibility for the automated systems used in the manufacturing operations. Your new team consist of 5 highly-skilled colleagues who enjoy helping each other and sharing their knowledge.

The role:

As Automation Engineer you will be supporting the Technical Support team with your automation knowledge, and you get to participate in various projects to ensure continuous optimization of the technical equipment and machines. You help optimize automation solutions for production and utilities including relevant documentation and electrical drawings in close coorporation with specialists and technicians. To secure stable operations you ensure back-up of parameters for VLT’s/frequency converters, PLC’s etc. PLC programming and SCADA configuration/programming on process equipment. Utilities are also part of your responsibilities, as is daily maintenance and troubleshooting.

During operationally critical situations you provide support and guidance to onsite technicians and process owners. Lastly, you will also contribute to the development of procedures, review and validation of system documentation.

About you
First and foremost, it is vital that you are a true teamplayer and a great colleague. You have a relevant technical education, preferably supplemented with experience within automation, networking and production. You have experience with PLC - e.g. Siemens software S5, S7, TIA and SCADA plus knowledge of GMP or another regulated area, as well as qualification and validation. You can communicate on different levels and express yourself in written and spoken Danish and English.
